Ragle Ranch Tennis

Like the plaque says, the Ragle Ranch Tennis Courts were created from a partnership between the Sonoma County tennis community and the county with labor and materials to build the courts donated by the individuals and organizations names on the plaque. The West County Tennis Association now known as Ragle Ranch Tennis provided the public with a multi-million dollar facility for a small fraction of that cost to the taxpayers.

To properly maintain the Ragle Ranch Courts, the Premier West County Tennis facility, constant maintenance is required. If wet debris is allowed to accumulate it will rot into a decaying slippery mass that will destroy the surface. In the photos, Bob Phelps, a Ragle Ranch Tennis member, removes the leaves and water on 2/20/26 after a storm, so the tennis courts will dry out for safe play later in the day. Maintenance is a 100% volunteer effort.

Maintenance is a lot of work but it’s worth it to maintain the courts. The new windscreens were purchased and installed entirely with contributions from membership.
